Jam Jersey 2027 is happening on March 19-21, 2027 in Mahwah, NJ. It’s a three-day, music-filled event where players of all levels come together to jam! Whether you’re a seasoned picker or just getting started, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow musicians and immerse yourself in the joy of bluegrass. Daily or weekend passes available.
During the day, there will be guided jams and workshops led by experienced facilitators in the hotel’s conference rooms. Jams will be organized by speed or style. We’ll have an open mic and other fun activities too! Click here to see the 2026 schedule.

How it Works
1. Buy Your Ticket ONCE THE EVENT GOES LIVE.
- Tickets are required to attend the event.
2. Get the Hotel Room Booking Link
- After purchasing your ticket, you’ll receive a confirmation email with hotel information. The group rate is $139.00/night plus tax.
3. Book Your Room
- Stay near the heart of the action all weekend long!
Day passes are also available if you’re local and just want to jam for the day.
The hotel is conveniently located in Mahwah, NJ right off Route 17, and is accessible by public transportation.

How does the jamming work in the hotel?
There are conference rooms reserved for all day and all night jamming on the lower level. We will be publishing a schedule of all the jams slated for those rooms. These rooms are booked from 5:00 PM on Friday until 2:00 PM on Sunday.
In addition, there will be “picking” suites in the hotel, open to picking any time of the day or night.
Picking on the picking floors, or any space on the ground floor including the hotel lobby, is allowable at any hour. If you’re not sure if it’s ok to jam where you are, just ask!
Do I have to stay at the hotel to attend?
No, you will not need to have a room at the DoubleTree Hilton to attend Jam Jersey. However, you will need to have a valid wristband, which are on sale from the ticket site or at the door.
Are there any additional costs to attend?
No, as long as you have a valid wristband, you can participate in any jams or performances. You are responsible for your hotel, food, and drink costs throughout the weekend.
How does the registration work?
Use the ticketing link to buy tickets for yourself and your friends. You will get an email confirming the ticket purchase. For easiest check in, bring a copy of the ticket with you or on your phone. Once you purchase a ticket, you’ll get a link to reserve your hotel room.

- 3 PM: hotel check-in begins
- 3 PM – 6 PM: open jamming on picking floors
- 5 PM: registration begins on the first floor
- 6 PM – late: jamming in the conference rooms and picking suites
- 7:30 PM: The Jam Jersey All-Stars play in the ballroom
Saturday
- 10 AM – 6 PM: scheduled jams and workshops
- 10 AM – 12 PM: Wernick Method jam class
- 7:00 PM: Open mic
- 10 PM – late: jamming in the conference rooms
Sunday
- 10 AM: scheduled jams begin in the conference rooms
- 2 PM: jamming ends
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes, you can buy tickets at the door. For faster service, we recommend using the ticket link to buy them ahead of time.
Will there be other styles of jams besides bluegrass?
Yes, we’ll have a variety of jam types to participate in.
How late can I stay if I purchase a one day pass?
You can stay as late as you’d like if you buy a one-day pass. Passes reset at 9:00 AM the following morning.
Are there any reduced rate tickets?
- There are early bird tickets for adults.
- Students can attend for $35 with valid ID.
- You can receive a complimentary ticket if you volunteer to help out during the weekend. Send an email to jamjerseybluegrass@gmail.com to let us know you you’d like to volunteer.
- Children 16 years old and younger are free.
I want to bring my friend/spouse/partner but they don’t jam. Are there reduced price tickets for those folks?
Yes, non-picking participants can attend for a reduced rate of $35 for the weekend.
What’s the food and drink situation like?
There is a large bar and restaurant attached to the hotel for convenient meals. There is also a refrigerator in all the rooms where you can store and bring your own food. It’s also along a stretch of road with other restaurants and food sources.
Will there be any performances at Jam Jersey?
Yes! On Friday night the Jam Jersey All-Stars will play in the ballroom. During the day on Saturday we will have a band showcase in the restaurant (let us know if you’d like to play!) On Saturday evening, we’ll host an open mic.
Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not allowed. Service animals are permissible. Notify the hotel when you make your reservation to let them know you’ll be bringing your service animal.
